Welcome to the APY Trade Training Centre

In April 2011 the Commonwealth Government provided funding to establish the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Trade Training Centre under the Trade Training Centres school program.  Our purpose-built facility is appointed with contemporary industry standard equipment and comprises a commercial kitchen and learning spaces for horticulture, rural operations, automotive, metal fabrication and construction.  Training rooms, with high level Information and Communication Technology and lecturer accommodation is also provided.

We also have an accommodation facility, built adjacent to the Trade Training Centre which provides increased access to training for our students to stay with us whilst undertaking their training.  Each house can accommodate 12 students.

Located in Umuwa, on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands, the APY Trade Training Centre (APY TTC) is a purpose-built training facility.  The APY TTC provides high quality industry standard vocational courses which provide competency-based training that is workplace relevant and develops skills that enhance training and employment opportunities relevant and focused on realistic employment outcomes in their communities.  Students work towards the completion of specific competencies that will allow them to receive a national recognised qualification.  Positioning our students to ensure that have the relevant skills and qualifications to participate in a competitive workforce whilst attaining their year 12 certificate.
