2022 Prices

After operating without a price rise for the past 10 years, the time has come for the APY Trade Training Centre to revise its price guide.

The Centre is a not-for-profit organisation whose primary focus is the provision of vocational training for Anangu secondary students and other community members. This price adjustment will contribute to recovering the cost of service deliveries, whether they be for training, facility hire, catering or accommodation. We aim to continue providing a quality service to all who use the facility.

Passing of Nigel Plaskett, Principal Manager of the APY Trade Training Centre

Warning: *distressing content that mentions death*

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Nigel Plaskett, who passed away unexpectedly on the evening of Sunday 23 January.

Nigel served the APY Trade Training Centre for the past nine years, working as a TAFE SA Hospitality Lecturer for the first eight and half years, and then recently becoming the APY Trade Training Centre’s Principal Manager in August of 2021.

He was committed to providing training opportunities to students and communities on the APY Lands.

Nigel was well known, respected and a good friend to many.

His happy disposition and friendly nature touched us all and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

2021 Anangu Schools Cook Off Cancelled

The 2021 Anangu Schools Cook Off has been cancelled due to Covid19 restrictions. The planning committee recognises the value of the Cook Off and would be happy to support an alternative format that requires individual schools to present a 3 course meal to their site. Please advise Nigel Plaskett if your school would like to enter this arrangement.
