Welcome to the APY Trade Training Centre

Located in Umuwa, on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands, our purpose-built Trade Training Centre (APY TTC) is appointed with contemporary industry standard equipment and learning spaces for commercial cookery, horticulture, conservation & land management, barbery, automotive, metal fabrication and construction.

The purpose of the TTC is to enable the delivery of a range of Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses to secondary students from surrounding APY Lands communities.

The TTC also has two accommodation buildings adjacent, which increase access for students from distant schools by allowing them to stay with us whilst undertaking their training.

Each of the two accommodation houses comprise a shared living and kitchen space and 6 separate bedrooms, each with 2 beds and an ensuite bathroom.

Our Focus

Provide high quality, workplace relevant industry standard vocational courses and competency-based training to improve student outcomes.

Secondary school age students work towards the completion of competencies to receive nationally recognised qualifications whilst attaining their year 12 certificate.

Students with VET qualifications are better prepared to take on apprenticeships, further training and skilled jobs.
