Welcome to the APY Trade Training Centre
Located in Umuwa, on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands, the APY Trade Training Centre (APY TTC) is an industry standard training facility designed for the provision of Vocational Education and Training (VET) to secondary students.
Department for Education schools on the APY Lands use the centre to deliver VET courses to secondary students. These courses expose students to VET opportunities and count as credit towards their South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). Since its opening in 2012, the centre has supported the completion of over 248 VET certificates.
Community based organisations can also use the APY TTC to support organisational workforce development and compliance training. The centre can assist in the delivery of accredited training, skill set training, individual competencies, and formal non-accredited training. These programs give community employees and Centrelink clients the opportunity to upskill, gain certification, increase employability, and better navigate career progressions.
Accommodation and catering services are available on site.
Mark Connelly was the Principal Manager of the APY Trade Training Centre from 2012-2021.
The APY Trade Training Centre is located in Umuwa, in the far North of South Australia. It is approximately 460 kilometres South-West of Alice Springs.
